ALAN PARTRIDGE
Multitalented Broadcaster Extraordinaire

For those who haven't had the pleasure, Alan Partridge is typical of the modern TV presenter, versatile, tactful, handsome and above all calm under pressure as he has shown time and time when dealing with troublesome members of the audience. Listen to these superbly witty putdowns: One and Two.
Alan shot to fame with incisive sports reporting on the inforrmative News programme, The Day Today and whether he is covering football, good or bad, horseracing or even the Beeb's perrenial disaster area - winter sports you'll never find him short of words
Having conquered BBC sport Alan's indisputable talents were given a wider audience when he became the new King of Chat. Whilst Richard and Judy were left interview Gnome painters, Alan tackled real issues such as murder, teenage violence, the Euro tunnel and joy riding.
Having said all of this, the most important thing above all else is that Alan is an entertainer, ready with jokes and snappy intros to light up those miserable evenings, he's always ready to stand up for what he believes and responds to his critics with style and sagacity.
