MicLog



MicLog is a shareware program for the loglinear analysis of contingency tables – it allows ready specification of models, especially of so-called 'topological' models, and includes various "search" strategies (of a simple-minded but highly efficacious hill-climbing variety) to locate better-fitting models (whether this be moral is left to the user).

The software itself is currently available in version which runs in a DOS window under Windows. To use:

  1. Make a folder (directory) called \MIC
  2. Click here to download the compressed program file.
  3. When prompted, save the file to disk, in the folder \MIC
  4. Using Windows Explorer, opening \MIC, run MICPACKD.EXE (double-click on it)
  5. Close the DOS window.
  6. The program is now installed
  7. Using Windows Explorer, opening \MIC, run MICLOG.EXE
