To find details of material in the Library, the first port of call is
OLIS (Oxford Library Information
Service).
There are also two card catalogues, one in the Main Library and
one in the Extension.
See below for details of which catalogue to use.

Monographs published from 1989 onwards are catalogued on OLIS
only.
Monographs published before 1989 have had their records transferred
onto OLIS. Double check the card catalogue if you cannot find an item on
OLIS.

Pamphlets published before 1989 are in the process of having their
records transferred onto OLIS. Double check the card catalogue if you cannot

All current titles are catalogued on OLIS, including details of
holdings.
For quick reference, use the Stripdex in the Catalogue Corridor.
For non-current titles, use the card catalogue.

Monographs published from 1992 onwards are catalogued on OLIS
only.
Monographs published before 1992 are gradually being retro-catalogued, but mostly are on the Extension card
catalogue only.
All current serial titles are catalogued on OLIS, including
details of holdings.
For non-current serial titles, please use the card
catalogue in the Extension.
Please note:
a) Hansard is kept in the Main Library; and
b) between the 1994/95 and 2002/03 sessions, Parliamentary Papers were taken on microfiche - please
ask staff.
