This photo was taken in Colorado on the Sawtooth Ridge between Mount Evans (4388m/14 262ft) and Mount Bierstadt (4326m/14 060ft). Although the route is not technically difficult, it is very exposed and the route-finding can be quite tricky. The cloud began boiling up soon after we started the climb and we decided to call a halt before it spilled over us and the ridge. The scenery was sunny and spectacular, but still very cold - in this photo I am wearing two of everything (trousers, hats, gloves, jumpers, etc.) Mind you, you should see what the locals were wearing. |
