When I am not stuck in front of a computer screen I like to get outside and get some fresh air and exercise - preferably somewhere up a mountain. Unfortunately, England was short-changed when the world's mountain ranges were created and hence I roam the world in search of beautiful places in which to climb and ski. I invariably drag along my long-suffering girlfriend, Lucy (that's why we're always roped together when we climb - otherwise she would keep disappearing!). If you've never seen the dawn come up from an Alpine bivouac and crunched across a glacier in crampons then you really haven't lived. I wish I could take you to some of my favourite wild places, but I'm afraid that for the moment you will just have to be content with some of my photos. I hope that you enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoyed taking them.
When Lucy and I go walking and climbing in the mountains we usually avoid noisy mountain refuges and bivouac in quiet solitude. Let me introduce you to some of my more photogenic experiences....
