| As the summit panel suggests, this photo was taken in New Hampshire on top of Mount Washington (1935m/6 288 ft). Mount Washington claims to have 'the world's worst weather', by dint of having the highest wind speed ever recorded (232 miles per hour). It is generally very cold and windy on the summit of Mount Washington: this photo was taken in October! The valley in the background hints at the deep red foliage of the New England autumn. | |
