The Pyrenees

I took this photo when Tim and I bivouacked on Aneto. Before that thunderstorm broke, we saw this fantastic dawn and raced to the summit. You can just see that the valleys are full of cloud as far as the eye can see. This is a common occurence in the mountains. When you are there, the mountains look like islands rising up out the ocean. The French call this phenomenon 'une mer de nuages'.
